Tibor Gold MBE
Visiting Professorial Fellow


Tibor Gold is a regular contributor to the intellectual life of QMIPRI and brings with him tremendous expertise in commercial practice. Tibor is a qualified solicitor, European Patent Attorney, Registered Trade Mark Agent and European Trade Mark Attorney, with Litigator certificates from both CIPA and ITMA.

As a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA), where he is also a past President, and the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (ITMA), Tibor is also very involved in the development and needs of the profession, including education and training. In 2006, Tibor won the World Leaders European IP Awards, Lifetime Achievement Award and in 2007 was honoured with an MBE in recognition of servies to Intellectual Property. Now retired from the partnership, Tibor continues as a Consultant with Kilburn & Strode.

Tibor lectures on patents in the Certificate in Intellectual Property and trade marks in the MSc in Intellectual Property Management and the Master of Laws (LLM).
