Phillip Johnson

Phillip Johnson is an intellectual property barrister with a strong connection to Queen Mary, graduating with both an LLM in Intellectual Property Law and a PhD.
Phillip specialises in intellectual property law and in public law, prior to which he was a legal adviser to the Intellectual Property Office (2003-2007). His wealth of experience in implementation of treaties and directives and legislative changes is an important contribution to our professional courses. He is also very widely published, including a new book with Sweet & Maxwell on ambush marketing.
Phillip lectures in patent law in the Certificate in Intellectual Property and the MSc in Management of Intellectual Property.
