International Copyright Protection System
Professor J.A.L. Sterling has drafted a series of documents to serve as research material for studies on current copyright issues.
The drafts are here presented and together constitute the International Copyright Protection System. They are preceded by an Introduction by Professor Sterling, and the section on each draft consists of an introduction to the draft text, followed by the draft text itself.
Comments on any of the material in this section, whether appearing in the introductions or the texts, are welcome, preferably by e-mail. Revised versions of the drafts may be placed on the website in the light of comments received and further study.
Some of the material in the introductions to the drafts was first published by Sweet & Maxwell in World Copyright Law, 2e 2003, paragraphs 92.03-92.08, and is reproduced by agreement with the publishers.
In due course, additional drafts on outstanding issues may be added to this section. Earlier versions of the drafts appeared in the Report of the ALAI Study Days, Neuchâtel 2002, but these are superseded by the present texts.
